[3] disait qu’il avait trouvé cinq statues
[4] de l’ancienne empire & la cartouche
[5] d’une reine inconnue. Il me disait
[6] qu’il a l’intention d’exhibiter encore
[7] pour cet hiver ce que vous lui
[8] apporterons de Tell Basta ; du reste
[9] il y a une quantité des nouvelles
[10] choses exhibité au musée. Entre autres
[11] il y a une stella avec ecriture sur
[12] les deux côtés qu’ils out reçu de
[13] Samanoud. Mr. Grébaut m’a dit
[14] qu’il entende de la publier parce
[15] qu’elle était bien interessant ; il me
[16] disait qu’elle était le premier monument
[17] antérieur de la XIV XVIII dynastie
[18] qu’on a du delta.
[19] Il parait qu’on trouve à Londres
[20] que je dépense trop pour le transport
[21] mais ils ne savent pas quel travail
[22] il y a à faire ; qu’est qu’il ne nous a pas
[23] coute de remuer ou d’élever la

[1] at Mitrahene & he showed me several
[2] things that he had brought back. He
[3] told me that he had found five statues
[4] from the ancient [Egyptian] empire and a cartouche
[5] of an unknown queen. He said to me
[6] that he intends to exhibit again
[7] for this winter what you
[8] will bring him from Tell Basta; besides
[9] there is a quantity of new
[10] things exhibited at the museum. Among other
[11] things there is a stele with writing on
[12] both sides that they received from
[13] Samanoud. Mr. Grébaut tells me
[14] that he intends to publish it because
[15] it is very interesting; he told me
[16] that it is the first monument
[17] predating the 18th Dynasty
[18] that we have from the delta.
[19] It seems that we find in London
[20] that I spend too much on transport
